City of Greater Bendigo Lockwood councillors will ask their residents how to improve community outcomes at a roundtable discussion on August 22.

Councillors Jennifer Alden, Matt Emond and Rod Fyffe will host the event at St Mary’s Anglican Church Hall in High Street, Kangaroo Flat, from 4pm. The event follows similar events in Heathcote and Eaglehawk.

City of Greater Bendigo mayor Margaret O’Rourke said the roundtables are all about conversations.

“It’s a great way for community members to connect with the councillors and for representatives of local groups to share information and learn from one another,” Cr O’Rourke said.

“The roundtables also provide an opportunity to celebrate what’s great about Kangaroo Flat and for councillors to find out how the community would like to engage with them in the future.

“I encourage all interested people to come along and share information about their organisation, current activities and events and learn about opportunities within the Kangaroo Flat and surrounding area.”

Anyone interested in attending should register by August 17 by phoning 5434 6000.
