Bendigo won two games and lost two games in four entertaining matches, with young gun Jordan Doherty named as a tournament All-Star.
Bendigo lost its opening match to City West 10-8.
City West raced to a 7-0 lead after two innings before Bendigo bounced strongly on the back of some fine hitting from Doherty and Lilly Czuczman.
In game two, Bendigo went down 12-10 to Latrobe Valley.
Nick Walker and Doherty batted well for Bendigo.
Bendigo bounced back on day with wins over Latrobe Valley and City West.
Bendigo edged out Latrobe Valley 12-11 after Hayley Jack and Ryan Kinkade scampered home in the final inning.
In the final match, Bendigo inflicted City West’s first loss of the carnival when it won 12-11.
The victory lifted Bendigo to second place for the championship.
