Winter Show
With over 190 artworks on display, submitted by nearly 60 mostly local artists, this art show is the perfect way to enjoy a weekend.
All artworks from the show will be for sale and there is sure to be something to suit your home and budget.
Entry into the show is only $3.
The official opening for the event is on Friday, July 27, commencing 7.30pm and tickets are available at the door at $10 each. The evening will feature guest speaker Military Artist Robert Milton.
The art show will also have a raffle and three great prizes. First prize is a $200 voucher for the Capital and Ulumbarra Theatres, second prize is $150 in Woolworths Gift Cards and a personal shopping jeep and third prize is a mixed dozen bottles of wine.
Tickets are $2 each and will be drawn on the Sunday at 3.50pm.
Where: St Mary’s Anglican Church, High Street, Kangaroo Flat.
When: Friday – Sunday, July 27 – 29, 10am – 4pm.
Family Bush Dance
The Bush Dance and Music Club are holding a family dance with a program including Old Time and Bush dances.
Music will be by the Emu Creek Bush Band. There will also be a raffle and lucky door. Everyone welcome.
Tickets $8 adults and children under 16 years free.

Bendigo Country Classic
This event showcases the best bodybuilding physiques of both men and women in various divisions, such as figure, fitness and classic bodybuilding.
The male and female winner of this competition will be chosen to compete at the 2018 Amateur Olympia in Las Vegas.

Castlemaine Documentary Festival
If you like films showcasing some of the worlds interesting characters then the annual Castlemaine Documentary Film Festival is for you.
The festival features a world class program of films with six Australian documentaries, live Q&A sessions with filmmakers and seven films directed by women. Click here to purchase tickets.

Sheep Show
This weekend warm yourself up with woollen fashion, food and fibre. Since 1877, this event has showcased Australia’s wool growers and lamb producers. The show also attracts approximately 30,000 people each year.
The show features sheep breeders, shearers, wool handlers, sheepdog trainers and farmyard animals in the animal nursery.

Adult Spelling Bee
Have some fun and test yourself at the third annual Adult Spelling Bee.
Learn more about the English language and compete against other spelling champions.
With some great prizes to be won, this event will allow for you to test out your word knowledge and meet likeminded people.

Last Supper Dance
There has been a dance held at Eaglehawk Senior Citizens Hall every Thursday night since 1982, providing friendship and entertainment for all patrons.
The Borough Ballroom is leaving the building. Come one, come all and celebrate the last supper dance.
Free entry. A plate to share would be appreciated.
In the next chapter of it's life, the dance will continue under the new name Bendigo Ballroom Dance Club Inc. at a new venue, Spring Gully Hall, 145 Spring Gully Road, Spring Gully.
The opening night will be a gala on Thursday September 6, 7.30pm – 11pm with live music by Ian Werfel.
There will also be a homemade supper, lucky spots and a raffle. Entry $10.
