Set up by a first half in which they kicked six goals to one, the Bloods prevailed 16.11 (107) to 9.10 (64) for their fourth victory of the season.
South Bendigo’s Callum Crisp in the ruck played his best game of the season, while midfielder Brody Haddow, who was a ball magnet, and Isiah Miller playing a mix of half-back and on-ball also led the Bloods’ charge to victory.
Braydan Torpey (four), Brock Harvey (three) and Leroy Miller (three) combined for 10 goals for the Bloods, who also had star forward Kaiden Antonowicz kick two before he left the field with a groin complaint.

After being held to just one goal in the first half, the Magpies added eight in a more competitive showing in the second.
“We want to be a team that plays four quarters of consistent footy with effort,” Maryborough coach Ben Lavars said.
“We got ourselves back into the game a little bit in the second half, but our first half was very poor when South came out with plenty of intent that we weren’t able to match.
“We lifted our intensity in the second half and showed we could match them, but only doing it for a half isn’t good enough.”
The best for the Magpies were led by backman Bodie Malone, ruckman Brady Neill and Jacob Long.
Forward Jordan Fraser kicked three goals.
