EPSOM has the opportunity to bridge the gap to Colts United when the two sides meet in Sunday’s Bendigo Amateur Soccer League women’s match of the round from 11am.

Both teams are in the top four, with Colts sitting second on 31 points and the Scorpions in fourth position on 25 points.

Colts has a strong block of form behind them with six wins and a draw in their past seven games in what has been a season of improvement after finishing seventh last year.

Colts have lost just two games so far, one of which was a 2-0 defeat to Epsom in round three.

The contest between Colts and the Scorpions is one of two all-Bendigo match-ups on Sunday, with Spring Gully United to take on Strathdale at Stanley Avenue in a game where both sides are coming off victories last weekend.

MEN’S DIVISION 1

Tatura and Shepparton United will be both striving to continue their solid form when they meet in the marquee match-up of the men’s division.

Three wins in a row – including a 6-0 victory over Golden City last week – has helped Tatura climb into the top four on 27 points.

Shepparton United has strung together five wins on the trot, the last three in which it hasn’t conceded a goal.

United is three points behind ladder-leader Strathdale, which will be aiming to keep its unbeaten season intact when it takes on Spring Gully United.
