Bendigo Winegrowers Association president Wes Vine said it was the “ultimate sneak preview of the magic happening right now in barrels across Bendigo”.
“Harvest is over, grapes have been crushed and fermented,” Mr Vine said.
“But that’s just the beginning of the wine making process.”
“Barrel tasting weekend gives you a taste of mature wines that will make their way into bottles in the next six to 18 months.”
The free tasting sessions will held this weekend across Bendigo and will also take place at Sandhurst Ridge, Connor Park, Sutton Grange (Sunday only), Balgownie Estate (Saturday only), and Killiecrankie.
