BENDIGO Thunder coach Luis Alvarez-Harris credits an attitude improvement to his side’s 52-point rebounding win over Diamond Creek on Sunday.
The Thunder had lost their previous two games, which included a defeat to Diamond Creek a week earlier.
But in Sunday’s return match at the QEO, Diamond Creek was met with a far more determined Thunder, which bounced back with an 11.6 (72) to 3.2 (20) victory in round 11 of the Northern Football League Women’s competition.
“The attitude was a lot better today. We had a good week on the track and right from the first bounce the girls cracked in,” Alvarez-Harris said.
“Our starts haven’t been great, but we kicked three goals to nil in the first quarter and that set the game up.”
