The Braves rallied from 11 points down at half-time to defeat the Geelong Supercats 76-72 at Bendigo Stadium on Friday night.
The victory was the Braves’ 14th in a row and it gave club stalwart Andrea Wilson a fitting result in her 300th match.
Nadeen Payne led the Braves with 24 points. Ash Karaitiana added 19 points, Gabe Richards 12 and Kara Tessari 11. Kelly Wilson had a game-high 12 assists.
Meanwhile, the Braves men’s clash with Geelong was disrupted late in the third quarter when the fire alarm went off.
The stadium was evacuated and the game was delayed for 20 minutes. There was no fire and when the game resumed the Supercats went on to win 88-75. Ray Turner led the Braves with 21 points and 19 rebounds.
Indiana Faithfull had 20 points for the Braves, while Jeremy Kendle added 16 points.
