Harcourt is one of 11 mobile sites being built along the Bendigo line, to improve coverage as part of the Victorian Government’s Regional Rail Connectivity Project.
Site preparations began on June 25, with completion expected by the end of July.

The site at Harcourt will provide coverage over six kilometres in length, covering the train line between Bendigo and Castlemaine.
It will also improve mobile service to parts of the Calder Freeway, and Harcourt itself.
The structure will also improve capacity of mobile service in the area, allowing more people to use the service.
The site will be built as part of the Victorian Government’s Regional Rail Connectivity Program, undertaken in partnership with Telstra, Optus and Vodafone.
The program aims to improve mobile coverage across the Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo, Traralgon and Seymour rail lines.
Eleven mobile communications structures are slated to be built along the Bendigo line.
A mobile communications structure at Kilmore East was recently finished, the first site completed by Vodafone as part of the connectivity project.
