Private equity group Tradeorigins Pty Ltd completed the purchase on Wednesday, and appointed former Target, Aldi and The Reject Shop executive Ewan Jones as chief executive officer.
NQR has also signed a long lease on the Kangaroo Flat store.
A spokesperson for the company said the deal means the store will remain open for the foreseeable future.
“Our Kangaroo Flat staff our very important to us, as are our customers in that region,” she said.
The Kangaroo Flat store employs nine staff.
Administrators were appointed to NQR in January, and they were confident the chain would find a new owner.
The company also entered administration in 2009.
