Police were called to the centre just after 9.30am after being told that three inmates were fighting.
A number of staff members became involved and received minor injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
The centre has been subjected to repeated instances of violence in recent years, which a parliamentary inquiry blamed on increasingly punitive measures in the centre.
