A DRAW for Colts United and an Eaglehawk loss has allowed Shepparton United to put some space between itself and some of its main rivals on the Bendigo Amateur Soccer League women’s championship ladder.

United continues it reign at the top of the ladder following a 10-1 victory against Golden City.
Their ninth win of the season was highlighted by a four-goal performance from young star Sophie Papalia.
She was well supported up front by Cayla Ruitjers (three goals) and Sarah Loverso (two goals).
United led 4-0 at half time and really pressed home their advantage with six second half goals while conceding just one to Jasmine Wright.
Meanwhile, Colts United slipped one spot on the ladder after sharing the points with Strathdale in a 2-2 draw.
Hannah Cartwright gave Colts United an early lead with a score in the 15th minute and advantage they were able to hold until half time.
But early second-half goals to Brigid McNamara and Lucy Teale handed Strathdale a 2-1 lead by the 50th minute.
Playing her first senior game, Eva Jan equalised for Colts United with a goal in the 61st minute and it was there the scores stayed locked together at 2-2.
Colts United has the bye next week, while Strathdale will play Golden City.
Shepparton South moved into second spot – equal on 25 points with Colts United – following a tough 2-1 win against Spring Gully United.
South had to come from behind after Meredith Cahill put the Reds ahead with her first goal of the season.
But an equaliser from Alicia Laffy and another goal from Amy Gebauer helped South score an important seventh win.
Not for the first time this season, Moama-Echuca Border Raiders has upset a more highly-fancied team, defeating Eaglehawk 2-1.
The visiting Hawks had their noses in front early, courtesy of a 27th minute goal, but the Border Raiders were able to equalise before half time through a goal to Courtney Ladgrove.
It was Ladgrove again, who put the Border Raiders in front, with her second goal in the 57th minute helping seal a 2-1 win.
Swan Hill got its third win of the season, defeating Tatura 5-0.
Shannon Fox scored twice for the Swans, who also got singles from Camilla McKindlay, Kara Lierich and Sharmaine Sabado.
After 11 rounds, Shepparton South’s Alicia Rowan leads all women’s championship goal scorers with 34, ahead of Strathdale’s Ellie Vlaeminck (23) and Brigid McNamara (18), Colts United’s Rebecca Berry (16) and Shepparton United’s Sophie Papalia (14) and Sarah Loverso (12).
Meanwhile, Epsom continues to lead the way in the youth championship following a 9-1 win over Shepparton.
The Scorpions found multiple avenues to goal, with Harvey Lay the only player to end the game with two goals.
Shepparton South moved ahead of Spring Gully in the race for second spot with a 2-1 with a 3-2 win against the Reds.
Lewis Merriman continues to lead all goal scorers with 20 after scoring one for the Reds.
In other games, Golden City defeated Shepparton United 2-1, Moama-Echuca Raiders drew with Eaglehawk 3-3, and Tatura accounted for Swan Hill 9-4.
