The crash, which occurred about 6.25am, closed one lane of of Brooke Street, the main road through town.
“A truck towing a tandem has run off the side of the road on Brooke Street, which is part of the Calder Highway,” Leading Senior Constable Tony Graham said.
“He drifted of the left hand side after moving around an animal or somethign similar.”
Leading Senior Constable Graham said there were no injuries but the damage to the truck was significant.
“The driver was able to get out of the cab and traffic was reduced to one lane while we waited for a tow truck big enough to remove the vehicle,” he said.
“The road was closed down to one lane from about 6.30am to 10am.”
EARLIER: A truck driver has escaped with minor injuries after crashing into a tree at Inglewood on Monday morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Brooke Street about 6.25am.
Paramedics have attended, but the driver has not been taken to hospital.
