Music from Russia
With arguably one of the best acoustics in Bendigo, a warm St Paul’s Cathedral will be the place to be this weekend.
Bendigo Chorale will sing a programme focussing on Russian music, with a varied mix from Rachmaninoff to Glinka and Arvo Part. The concert will feature Rachmaninoff’s “Spring Cantata’ with Melbourne soloist Raphael Wong.

Springing to Music
Feeling fancy? Want to dance the night away this weekend? Head along to the Spring Gully dance.
The evening features music by Carmel Phelan, a good program and a home cooked supper. There will also be a raffle and prizes.
Dress up optional. Admission is $9 and all are welcome.

The Village Winter Festival
Celebrate the winter solstice in style at the fifth annual Village Winter Festival.
At the new venue, Newstead Racecourse, there is plenty more room for a larger fire event.
Throughout the evening explore the festival amongst caravans, warming fires and Indian wedding tents. Visit Gherkin Khan’s Amusement Alcazar, pick up bargains, kids’ flea market and don't forget to take your dog to the famous village dog show.
The music program features Blunderbuss, The Seduceaphones, CoastBusters, Petal and Pet, Flower Drum and many more.

Wal Richards on display
For the first time in 20 years, works from local wedding photographer Wal Richards are going on public display.
This exhibition takes a look at the wedding photographer’s journey into black and white photography of the late 1940s to 1960s before the introduction of colour photography in the 1970s.
There is a focus on fashion, bridesmaids, bridal and after parties, flowerchildren and of course, the brides.
Where: The Central Goldfields Art Gallery, Old Fire Station in Neill Street, Maryborough.
When: Exhibition launch on Saturday, June 23 at 2pm. Until July 29.
Board game fun
Feeling like a challenge? Want some friendly competition? Register your interest in Thursday evening board games.
The games include Terraforming Mars, Ticket to Ride, Pandemic, Settlers of Catan and many more. They can be either co-operative or competitive, so make sure you ready for a challenge.

Nissan Nightmoves
Become a part of this years German Technik Nissan Nightmoves Trail.
This trail is strictly route charted, so there’s no plotting or map reading, meaning you can enjoy the ride more.
This year also marks the 50th anniversary for the Nissan Car Club, so enjoy the celebration and have a blast in this years Nightmoves!
If your unable to compete, come down and have your own spectator point and volunteer as an official.
