The event, a fundraiser for the Cancer Council, was catered by the Southern Grampians Adult Education Group, which operates catering classes in the cathedral precinct.
Nearly 70 people turned out to try a selection of sweets, cakes, sandwiches and of course, scones.
Spokesman, Geoff Young, said that it was the first time St Paul’s had hosted the tea
Mr Young said that people from the wider community, parish and groups that work in conjunction with St Paul’s turned out to support the cause.
He said the day’s success meant people were already asking for its return in 2019.
Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is in it’s 25th year, with every cup of tea served helping the Cancer Council to fund research, support services, prevention programs and advocacy.
