CMC hosts Warrnambool Secondary College at Epsom from 1pm on Wednesday in one semi-final, while BSSC travels to Melbourne to play Box Hill Secondary College in the second semi-final.
CMC goes into its clash with Warrnambool without injured key forwards Sean O’Farrell and Aaron Gundry.
“I’m still confident we have the group that can win the game,’’ CMC coach Lee Coghlan said.
“If we can reproduce the footy we’ve played in the past few matches then we’re going to give ourselves a great chance of winning.”
CMC was unbeaten in its preliminary round matches, including a last-start win over BSSC.
Warrnambool finished runner-up behind Box Hill in its pool.
Coghlan expects the Warrnambool side to play a contested brand of footy.
“I watched the inter-league under-18 game at Warrnambool and they had some big boys,’’ he said.
“I expect them to be a physical side and they’ll be used to playing in wet and windy conditions.
“Hopefully, we can run over the top of them.”
BSSC will go into its semi-final clash with Box Hill as the underdog.
Box Hill won its three pool matches by an average margin of seven goals.
BSSC will be without Vic Country squad member Zane Keighran, but it does have a host of Bendigo Pioneers’ players, including the goal-to-goal line of Josh Grace, Nathan McHugh, James Schischka, Braydon Vaz and Daine Grace.
BSSC was runner-up in this competition last year, while CMC lost its semi-final by one point.
