McMahon reigned supreme in the Rising Sun Hotel-sponsored 6.5km.
The cold, wet and windy conditions did not deter McMahon or the other 26 athletes in the race.
After starting off a handicap mark of 6.30, the eventual race winner chased down seven who started in front of him.
In the final kilometres, McMahon passed Melinda Gilligan and Demi Goodall-Hoffman to take the lead and then worked hard to stay clear of middle-markers Brett Gilligan and Ingrid Douglas to win by 25 seconds.
The new club member smashed his previous best time for the 6.5km distance by two minutes and 52 seconds.
Brett Gilligan followed up second placing at The Whipstick to again be runner-up in the sixth leg of the club’s season.
Third placegetter was Ingrid Douglass who also clocked fastest time for the women in 28.20.
Fastest time honours went to Jacob Nolan in 22.59.
A field of three juniors braved the wintry conditions to race the 1km event.
Edward Boase achieved a breakthrough victory and fastest time in 4.46 as Tabitha Goode was runner-up and Abbey Cutler was third.
