The Bendigo Amateur Radio and Electronics club will be holding electronics workshops these school holidays.
Beginners aged 7 years and up can learn about electrical circuits, and make a solar grasshopper to take home.
Those aged 10 years and up can learn how to solder, and make a crazy cricket or frog.
A third workshop will be available for children who have previously attended workshops.

Join the junior rangers
Is your child a budding investigator?
They could become a wildlife detective in Castlemaine Diggings National Heritage Park as one of the free activities hosted by Parks Victoria.
Kids also have the chance to learn about bushfire management in Solomon Gully, and learn about Dja Dja Wurrung culture at Kooyoora State Park.
Junior Rangers activities are suitable for children aged 6-12.

Goldfields Library Corporation
From robotics to Ratatouille, there’s something to suit all interests at the Goldfields Library Winter School Holiday program.
Mindstorm sessions give kids a chance to build their own robot at Heathcote, while in Bendigo, Castlemaine and Woodend Minecraft fans can group together to build their own world.
At Movie Matinees kids can enjoy Ratatouille and Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
Events will take place at libraries around the region from Monday July 2 to Friday July 13.

Bendigo Art Gallery
Kids have a chance to explore their creativity with activities at the Bendigo Art Gallery.
Children can enjoy the art making tables heaving with craft materials, or even take part in holiday workshops.
Families visiting the gallery can pick up a free activity trail, to explore the gallery’s highlights, and craft their own artistic response at an activity area in the Cohn Family Gallery.
Art tables open July 3-5, 11am to 2pm. Activity trail from July 9, self tours from July 1.
‘Inside Out Drawing’ workshops will give children the chance to see how artists create drawings. Kids will have the chance to take apart electronics and draw their insides. At separate 3D drawing workshops kids can learn to make their drawings come alive.
During ‘Story Lanterns’ kids can light the long winter nights with their own collages, made into lanterns.

Youth Engage!
Kids and teens can head over to the Central Goldfields Art Gallery and the Maryborough Regional Library for a packed school holiday program.
Crafty kids can create their own ceramic house, learn from a ‘Frame it!’ workshop, or participate in guided drawing sessions.
A Harry Potter Craft Day, a daytrip to Melbourne, a treasure hunt are among activities on offer.

School holiday fun at the Bendigo Club
The Ninja Warrior Experience is back again at the Bendigo Club for the winter school holidays.
Kids can tap into their inner ninja, tackling obstacles and enjoying team activities. Cost is $25.
An AFL Footy Clinic will give all children aged 4-10 the chance to train with the Bendigo Pioneers. This event is free.

Winter wonderland
If you’re looking to go further afield an icy experience will be coming to Echuca.
Discovery Parks in Maidens Inn will play host to a pop-up ice skating rink from June 22-July 23.
Open to all, the cost will be $15 for 90 minutes on the ice.
Bendigo Amateur Soccer League School Holiday Program
Kids can have a kick at the BASL School Holiday Program on July 12.
A general stream will run for kids of all abilities, while more serious players can challenge themselves with an advanced program.
Kids aged 6-11 can attend the all abilities program from 9am-3pm at Trustcott Reserve for $50, while players between 10 and 12 years can join in the advanced program between 10am and 3pm.
