The festival will be held at the Newstead Racecourse for the first time, a larger venue than previous years which will allow for an arena-style spectacular fire at dusk.
Winter Village Festival artistic director Suzanne Kalk said it was an interactive creative event for the whole family.
“We don’t just want the audience to be spectators at the festival, we want them to get creative, interact with the spectacles and participate,” Ms Kalk said.

”The fire spectacle from 7-8 pm is the main event and will include lots of local people, artists and children will also be involved.
“It’s a great opportunity to bring the community together during Winter to celebrate all the great things we have on offer within our creative community.”
The festival will also include live music, theatre, food and cooking demonstrations, dance, circus installations and other interactive activities for all ages.
