The Braves begin the second half of the SEABL women’s season with a perfect 10-0 record, while every other team has lost at least three games.
“A break is always nice in the middle of the season and it’s a chance to reset,” Braves women’s coach Megan Moody said on Thursday.

“The girls have had the chance for a mental and physical freshen-up, but at the same time a break can also be detrimental when you’ve got some momentum rolling.
“We just need to make sure we come out on Friday night re-focused and not worry about what we’ve done in the past 10 games.”
Friday night’s match will be the Braves’ second against Canberra this season, with Bendigo winning the first encounter 89-63 on May 5.
That 26-point margin is one of eight matches during the Braves’ 10-game streak they have won by at least 20 points, such has been their dominance.
The Braves have Nadeen Payne (23.1), Kelly Wilson (15.3), Kara Tessari (11.8), Gabe Richards (11.6) and Ash Karaitiana (11.2) all averaging double figure points this season.
Star point guard Wilson is also averaging 10.8 assists per game – more than double the next best in the competition in Canberra’s Kate Gaze (5.2).
Wilson has had points/assists double-doubles in each of the past four games – 18 and 12 v Kilsyth; 29 and 12 v Sandringham; 25 and 12 v Dandenong; and 10 and 13 v the Centre of Excellence.
Canberra is 10th on the ladder with a 5-5 record and has lost its past two games against Launceston and Sydney Uni.
Friday night’s match at the Bendigo Stadium tips off at 6pm.
