Playing on their home tables, Hannah and Olivia played against each other in the open women’s singles final and the junior girls singles final.
Fittingly, they won one title each. Hannah was victorious in the open women’s final, while Olivia reversed that result in the junior girls final.
The twins also qualified for the family doubles final where they lost to Mark and William Poplawski.
Olivia and Hannah Green’s performances were the highlight of a successful weekend for Bendigo competitors.
Michelle Rey and Daniel McGrath also claimed Victoria Country titles.
Rey won the women’s open doubles crown with Jean Pierce, while McGrath was successful in the D-grade singles tournament.
Bendigo’s Isabella Connor and Deb Wright were runners-up in the women’s double final. Connor was runner-up to McGrath in the D-grade singles, while Wright was runner-up in the over 40 women’s singles.
In the team’s events, Ballarat won the prestigious A-grade championship.
Bendigo teams performed strongly across the weekend.
The E2 team of Brendon Tuena, David McRae and Joe Santangelo won the championship.
The B3 team of Des Knight, Ryan Gordon, Mark Gordon and Craig Armour was runner-up to Geelong.
The D3 team of Tim Tuena, Isabella Connor, Deb Wright and John Connor was runner-up to Yarrawonga.
