The Macedon Ranges Weather Facebook page said a series of strong cold fronts from polar low pressure systems will arrive in the Macedon Ranges this week.
“From Tuesday to next weekend, expect showers and colder north westerly winds to increase as each front passes through,” it said.
“When freezing levels drop below 1000m and moisture is available, snow is possible in the Macedon Ranges.”
The forecast for Gisborne this week predicts a top of 13 degrees on Monday and Tuesday followed a top of 11 for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
The low forecasts are accompanied by predictions of showers increasing through the week.
Bendigo will also see the mercury drop with temperatures reach just 15 degrees on Monday followed by 13 on Tuesday, 14 on Wednesday and Thursday and 13 on Friday.
Rain is expected to arrive on Monday night with showers persisting throughout the week.
