EARLIER: A DRIVER will be taken to hospital after a crash in East Bendigo this afternoon.
The driver of a Ford Territory turned right from Murphy Street at the intersection of Powell Street when a Ford Fairlane drove into the side of them.
Senior Constable Dale Andrews said the driver of the Ford Fairlane “possibly suffered some sort of medical condition”, causing them to miscalculate the intersection. Paramedics were working to free him before he could be taken to hospital, suffering “multiple injuries”.
The occupant of the Ford Territory avoided injury, but may have suffered shock.
Senior Constable Andrews said the wet conditions were unlikely to have been a factor, and he was waiting to talk with further witnesses.
Traffic was restricted near the entrance to the Brickworks industrial area.
