The new vehicles on the list - which includes Toyota, Mercedes and Nissan vehicles, among others – are not under active recall, but will be subject to a manufacturer recall in the near future.
The defective Takata airbags may deploy with too much force, rupturing the airbag inflator housing and sending metal shards into the cabin of the vehicle.
There has already been one death and one serious injury reported in Australia as a result of the defective airbags, and 23 deaths and 230 injuries worldwide.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission advises that people who own vehicles on the list ensure the manufacturer has their current contact details.
The ACCC says about two in seven vehicles in Australia are affected.
