For the high flying rehearsal the students who will perform as Wendy, John, Michael and Peter Pan in the production were involved in an airborne rehearsal, using elastic bungee cords.
Girton Grammar School head of drama and production director Nicholas Pease said the airborne elements of the production encouraged the imaginations of the audience.
“This is an incredible opportunity for our drama students to experience something unique and we try every year to create a show that gives the students a sense of what it might be like to be part of a professional theatrical production,” Mr Pease said.
The students received training by renowned rigger Christian Schooneveldt- Reid who works extensively with Circus Oz.

Mr Pease said this year’s production was ‘ambitious’ and the students would experience acting in front of a live audience.
“Our take on the original play will be a little darker than audiences are accustomed to but there is also plenty of action and humour, making this a show for all ages,” he said.
There will be three shows of the production performed by the students which will open on June 14 at Ulumbarra Theatre.
