The mobile clinic will visit Chewton from Monday, June 4 to Friday, June 8.
The procedure will cost $40 for a male cat, down from the usual $123, and $50 for a female, down from $223.
The fee also includes microchipping, if required.
RSPCA Victoria chief executive officer Dr Liz Walker said the clinic was made possible by a donation from volunteer and long-time supporter Toni Patch.
“Toni was a passionate advocate for improving animal welfare, especially through desexing and microchipping,” Dr Walker said.
As well as reducing the number of unwanted animals, the RSPCA says research shows desexing makes cats calmer, less likely to roam, spray or fight, and improves protection against certain diseases and illnesses.
Earlier this year, a man in charge of a cat welfare initiative called for greater funding to subsidise cat desexing for those less financially well-off.
The clinic will be at the Chewton Senior Citizens Centre.
Cats must be dropped off at 7.30am and collected at 4.30pm.
Places are limited to 35 cats a day, and bookings can be made online.
