HOCKEY Central Victoria (HCV) has emerged with a pair of silver medals from last weekend’s Hockey Victoria Junior Country Championships.

HCV had six teams represented, with under-17 teams playing at the State Netball and Hockey Centre, under-15s at Greensborough and under-13s at Essendon.
The under-17 boys claimed a silver medal after going down in an eight-seconds penalty shootout to Albury Wodonga 5-4.
The under-15 boys also claimed a silver medal after being defeated by Albury Wodonga 4-1.
Both teams scored numerous wins over the weekend to advance to the playoffs.
The under-13 boys finished third after defeating rivals North Central 2-1 in the bronze medal match playoff.
The under-15 girls finished in fourth place, while the under-13 and under-17 girls improved as the weekend progressed.
