UPDATE: Bendigo is the 17-and-under northern zone champion for 2018.
The BFNL team, coached by Melinda Keighran, defeated Sunraysia 13-10 in the grand final at the Golden City courts in West Bendigo on Sunday.
Bendigo had earlier win all nine of its qualifying round-robin matches and its semi-final against Central Murray.
The team has now qualified for the Association Championships finals in Melbourne on June 17.
In other grand finals today, Wimmera defeated Bendigo Strathdale Netball Association 16-12 in the 13-and-under championship; Sunraysia defeated Castlemaine and District 11-3 in the 13-and-under reserve championship; Wimmera defeated Sunraysia 18-4 in the 15-and-under championship; and Rochester defeated Sunraysia 16-9 in the 15-and-under reserve championship.
BSNA qualified for the 13-and-under championship grand final with a 10-7 win over Central Murray, after scoring five wins and a draw in their nine round-robin games.
UPDATE: Bendigo’s 17-and-under team will join the league’s open team at the 2018 Association Championships finals in Melbourne on June 17, following a semi-final win in today’s northern zone tournament in Bendigo.
The BFNL team, coached by Melinda Keighran, defeated Central Murray 20-5 to book a place in the grand final against Sunraysia, which defeated Wimmera in the other semi-final.
Both grand finalists qualify for the June 17 finals.
The northern zone grand final is played at 3.04pm.

Loddon Valley finished seventh with two wins, while Heathcote District was ninth in the 10-team competition, also with a 7-2 record.

The highlight of round eight was a draw between North Central and Central Murray, which has kept its semi-finals hopes alive following four wins and a draw.

The BFNL team, coached by Melinda Keighran, has won its first three round robin games, including a crucial first-up match against Wimmera 14-12.
Berndigo has continued its good form with wins against Central Murray and Golden Rivers.
Loddon Valley, which defeated Golden Rivers in Saturday’s inter-league encounter at the Queen Elizabeth Oval, has two wins from three games, while Heathcote District has one win.
North Central and Wimmera each has two wins.
There will be nine rounds in total with the top four sides to progress to the semi-finals at 2.28pm.
The grand final is at 3.02pm, with both grand finalists progressing to the Association Championships finals on June 17.
Round four is in progress.
