Community Garage Sale
Since 2006, the City of Greater Bendigo has been supporting local organisations and residents to develop a friendship with the sub-district of Maubisse in Timor Leste.
The relationship between Greater Bendigo and Maubisse helps both areas.
The Maubisse community receives support and friendship to develop East Timor and Bendigo residents have the opportunity to experience a different culture and connect with our neighbours.

Bush Dance
The Bush Dance and Music Club are excited to be hosting another great family dance.
Take the opportunity to learn something new with a program featuring old time and bush dances.
Everyone is welcome to this great family event.
Tickets $8 adults and children under 16 years free. Bringing a plate of supper would be appreciated. There will also be a raffle and a lucky door prize.

DIY Design: Family Fun Day
In conjunction with Marimekko: Design Icon 1951 to 2018, this fun family event aims to provide families with the opportunity to explore shapes and colours to create a successful design.
Activities include designing with stamps and stencils and making colourful homewares.
$5 per family (plus $3 per person if you would like to design your own mug).

Chinese ANZAC's
As the centenary of the First World War comes to a close, the Golden Dragon Museum celebrates the service and sacrifices of Australians of Chinese descent from our region who enlisted.
This exhibition provides an insight into the lives and service of First World War soldiers from the central Victorian Goldfields and the wider Loddon-Mallee Region.

Trove Makers Market
If you're looking for some unique, handmade goods, head over to the last Trove Makers Market, the last until September.
The Trove Makers Market will be taking a much needed break over winter.
The day will feature 40 stalls with handmade goods, live music, facepainting, delicious food, coffee and bread from The Good Loaf.

Pine Needle Weaving
Spend the day with one of Victoria’s finest contemporary Indigenous artists and teachers, Glenda Nicholls, learning how to hand weave with pine needles. This one-day weaving workshop offers you the opportunity to learn the craft and understand the culture behind weaving.
Born in 1954 in Wemba Wemba country, Glenda Nicholls is multiclanned and recognises her Waddi Waddi/Yorta Yorta and Ngarrinjeri descendants.
Pine weaving reflects Glenda’s family story of her elders and ancestors and the connection between the past and present.
The workshop costs $140 with all materials covered. Lunch is also provided.
