Residents will be able to access the new path from Sullivans Road, Watson Drive, Turners Road and McIvor Forest Dr.
“The new path will be 2.5 metres wide and 2.3 kilometres long. It will be constructed of asphalt and will service the many new housing estates in the area,” Mr Martini, City of Greater Bendigo Engineering Manager, said.
“It will be a great asset for people to be able to move off road throughout the area and will build on the City’s path network.

“The new path will link new residential growth in Junortoun with Strathfieldsaye primary schools and the Strathdale community with the Catherine McAuley College.
“The path will also enable the Junortoun community to safely access the Strathfieldsaye sporting facilities by bike or on foot. It also links with existing off road shared paths in Strathfieldsaye and the existing shared path that links Catherine McAuley College with Cousins Street in Strathdale.”
The construction of the new path is supported by Parks Victoria, Dja Dja Wurrung Clans and Strathfieldsaye and Districts Community Enterprise who are contributing $50,000 towards the project.
