Geary spent three nights in hospital last week because of an infected knee.
The illness forced him out of the Bulldogs’ win over South Bendigo, but he’s confident he’ll be fit to pull on the BFNL’s blue and gold jumper in Warrnambool this Saturday.
“I’ll be right to play,’’ Geary said.
“I just have to get the final all-clear from the doctor and I’ll train on Wednesday night.
“I missed inter-league last year (because of an eye injury)… I don’t want to miss it again.”

Geary remains unsure how his knee became infected.
“I went to see the doctor last Monday because it was playing up and I was given some antibiotics, but by Tuesday it had blown up,’’ Geary said.
“I was admitted to hospital Tuesday night and I got out on Friday.
“It felt pretty good at the weekend. (Golden Square coach) Bernie Haberman gave me to the last minute to see if I could play. If we had have had a Sunday game instead of a Saturday game I might have been able to play.
“I’m back at work today and the knee feels fine.”

While it hasn’t been officially announced, Geary is expected to be named BFNL captain.
The five-time premiership player and multiple Victoria Country representative thrives on inter-league footy.
“I love the concept of inter-league footy,’’ Geary said.
“Even though I was injured last year I still got the chance to be runner. Being part of the group to represent the league is a big honour.”
The final BFNL squad for the clash with Hampden will be announced on Wednesday.
The team will train at the QEO on Wednesday night and travel to Warrnambool on Friday.
