Back on their home deck at Weeroona Oval, the Thunder dished out a 108-point hiding to Darebin.
The Thunder’s 16.13 (109) to 0.1 (1) flogging of Darebin was the third time in their five games this year they have held their opposition goal-less.
The thumping win featured another haul of goals from captain and gun forward Andrea Walsh.
Walsh booted seven to take her season tally to 26, while fellow key target Bella Ayre slotted three, as did Ayrlea Bailey-McLanahan.
The Thunder’s win was kickstarted by a dominant midfield performance led by Olivia McEvoy and young guns Kodi Jacques and Tiahna Cochrane, while Abbey Hay on a wing also won plenty of the ball.
“The game was a bit of a scrap early and the scoreboard probably isn’t reflective of how much pressure Darebin applied,” Thunder coach Luis Alvarez-Harris said.
The Thunder’s next game is against Keilor at Epsom-Huntly on May 27.
