The BFNL inter-league squad hit the training track for the first time in Castlemaine on Wednesday night.
The group was put through a sharp skills session by coach Brett Fitzpatrick and assistants Luke Monaghan and Darryl Wilson.
The group of about 22 players had a mix of youth and experience.
Eaglehawk youngsters Jack Fallon, Gedd Hommelhoff and Jonty Neaves were pushing their case for a first BFNL jumper, while regular inter-league campaigners Lee Coghlan, Adam Baird and Codie Price showed their class with ball in hand.
Michelsen Medal winner Lachlan Sharp hit the track and looked in great shape after playing his first game back from a hamstring injury last Saturday.
Former Goulburn Valley representative Kaiden Antonowicz looks set to play a key role for the BFNL inside forward 50.
The final training run will be held at the QEO next Wednesday ahead of the clash with Hampden in Warrnambool on May 19.
