13CABS has announced it will offer free rides to veterans attending tomorrow’s Dawn Service, joining Bendigo Taxis in offering transport without cost.

13CABS representative Mick Hawkins said it was something everyone in the local taxi industry was keen to do.
“We are all Bendigo people so we know what it is all about. We want to thank people for their service and support them on such an important day, so our service to them is not about cost,” he said.

Bendigo Taxis has been offering free Dawn Service rides to veterans for many years, manager Colin Wells said.
He confirmed the service would continue those rides tomorrow.
“This is all being coordinated via the RSL as per previous years,” he said.
Mr Wells echoed Mr Hawkins sentiments that the service was a great way to say thank-you for veterans’ service.
13CABS’ service was not being offered through the Bendigo RSL. Veterans could call the company’s hotline to book. They would need to notify those taking bookings that they were a veteran.
