The organisation has been invited to present at the international Best in Heritage conference in Croatia later this year.
It is the first time a Bendigo project has been selected to be on this world stage.
Thirty other projects and organisations from around the world will also present at the conference and award ceremony.
Bendigo Heritage Attractions has been invited off the back of its crowdfunded restoration of Tram No. 7.
It saw the Bendigo community come together to assist in restoring one of the city’s iconic heritage trams.
More than 180 people donated to raise a total of $31,655 to save the J-Class Tram No. 7.

The Tram No. 7 project began in 2016 and was completed last year. It was awarded the Best Museums Project (Mid-Sized Museum) at the Museums Australia (Victoria) awards.
Bendigo Tramways also won the 2017 Qantas Australian Tourism Award for best cultural heritage attraction.
The city’s trams will be showcased alongside work by the Los Angeles Museum of Modern Art, Pittsburgh’s Andy Warhol Museum, Salvador Dali’s House and the Roald Dahl Museum.
BHA chief executive Peter Abbott will present at the event in Croatia in September.
“We operate with museum-based principles that aims to preserve and interpret our living heritage,” he said.
“This was also showcased in the way we selected Tram 7 for preservation, restoration and now operating again through the streets on Bendigo.”
Bendigo Heritage Attraction chairman Wayne Gregson said it was a very positive time for the organisation.
“There are a lot of exciting and positive projects being undertaken across BHA at the moment,” he said.
“All our board, staff and volunteers should be congratulated as we enter such a positive time in the way we showcase Bendigo’s living history.”
