For South Bendigo to take the next step in the BFNL it needs to consistently defeat top teams and the Bloods won't get a better opportunity this year to beat Sandhurst than when the QEO co-tenants clash on Saturday afternoon.

The Dragons limp into the game on the back of a six-goal loss to Golden Square and they are without ruckman Tim Martin, forward Daniel Connors, midfielders Joel Wharton, Zeb Broadbent, Zac Pallpratt and Callum Prest and defender Josh Hann.
The Bloods did enough to share the points with Kyneton last week and have been strengthened by the inclusion of former Hawthorn forward Josh Thurgood.
With recruit Callum Crisp a more than capable ruckman, the Bloods can play big man Kieran Strachan inside forward 50 alongside Thurgood and Kaiden Antonowicz.
As an added incentive the two clubs will play for the Graeme Wright Memorial Cup.
South Bendigo hasn't beaten Sandhurst in successive years since 2010-11 and, after winning the Graeme Wright Memorial Cup in the corresponding game last year, the Bloods would dearly love to snap that streak on Saturday and put one-and-a-half games between themselves and their arch-rival after just two rounds of the season.
