Volunteer firefighter Krystal Every said it was the second time a Community Open Day had been held.
“We want to open the station to the community,” she said.
“We are based on volunteers and to operate we rely on the community for donations, so it’s a nice way to give back and show the community what their funds have gone towards.”
There will be various activities such as a jumping castle, raffles, a firetruck display, sausage sizzle and firefighting demonstrations.
The open day will take place at the Kangaroo Flat Fire Brigade on Sunday April 22 from 10am – 2pm.
