Hundreds of the best bowlers from across the state will invade Bendigo for the annual titles and the locals are a chance to win on home soil.
Kangaroo Flat’s Val Flett, Gwen Waegeli and skipper Susan Howes will compete in the women’s triples, starting on Tuesday morning.
The Bendigo team of Barry Whiffin, Bruce Morley, Torie Babitsch and skipper Ian Ross start their men’s fours campaign on Tuesday.
Kangaroo Flat’s John Berry will compete in the men’s singles from Wednesday, while Kangaroo Flat’s Brooke Davis and Susan Howes will play in the women’s pairs starting on Friday.
The Eaglehawk father and sons combination of John Carter, Simon Carter and Dean Carter will play in the men’s triples on Saturday.
The State Champions Week will also feature Commonwealth Games medalists Carla Krizanic and Barrie Lester.
Krizanic, who won gold on the Gold Coast, will represent Sunbury in the women’s singles on Thursday, while Lester, who won two silver medals last week, will play in the men’s champion of champion singles on Thursday.
The State Multi-Disabilities Championships will be held in conjunction with State Champions Week at North Bendigo from Thursday to Saturday.
State Champions Week action at Bendigo East starts at 9.30am each day.
