Involving more than 20,000 students from all around Australia, the Story Dance Challenge sees schools create work based on their students’ thoughts, ideas and aspirations.
Bendigo South East College and Horsham’s Holy Trinity Lutheran College are two regional schools preparing work for Wakakirri.
Festival Director Adam Loxley says that Wakakirri is always looking for ways to make it easier for schools to participate.
“We’re seeing incredible growth after the 2017 season and have had many enquiries from new schools in regional Victoria wishing to participate in 2018,” he said.
Ulumbarra Theatre will be hosting Wakakirri on Tuesday, July 31. Schools can register for the event by visiting www.wakakirri.com
