Vlaeminck scored 10 goals in the Blues’ massive 21-1 win over Golden City.
The youngster, who topped the competition goal scoring in her first season in the women’s open age competition in 2018, showed she would again be hard to catch this season.
Vlaeminck had her first goal of the season on the board by the fifth minute of the game at Beischer No. 1 and had nine more by the time the match was over.
In a show of strength by the Blues, Bridget Meadows and Brigid McNamara each added four goals to catapult Strathdale to the top of the league ladder.
As remarkable as it sounds, Vlaeminck had competition for the tag as the round’s leading goal scorer.
Alicia Rowan scored nine of her own in Shepparton South’s 20-0 win over Tatura.
A hat-trick to Danielle Michielsen helped Epsom score a 6-0 win against Spring Gully.
Caitlin Robertson added two goals for the Scorpions.
In the round’s closest game, Eaglehawk prevailed 3-2 against Shepparton United at Truscott Reserve.
Young gun Charlotte Edlin (Eaglehawk) and Caitlin Georgiou each scored a double.
Meanwhile, Courtney Ladgrove and Paula Ledda each contributed two goals to Moama-Echuca Border Raiders’ 6-2 win against Swan Hill in Moama.
In games next week, Strathdale hosts Moama-Echuca, Spring Gully United plays Eaglehawk, Swan Hill meets Colts United, Epsom travels to Shepparton South, and Tatura clashes with Golden City.
