Kristen McCormick from Bendigo attended the procession for the first time with her family.
“Great to see so many people supporting the parade,” Mrs McCormick said.
“It’s wonderful, it also helps bring in people to spend money in the local shops and help support the Maldon community.”
The procession included an array of characters and community groups which marched up Main Street, Maldon.
Fire brigades from the surrounding region and other emergency workers received a loud applause from the spectators.
The procession was part of the five-day Maldon Easter Fair which commenced on Thursday and concluded on Easter Monday.
The fair was held for the first time in 1878 and this year marked its 141st year of operation, making it one of the oldest Easter fairs in Australia.
