The Bendigo Charities and Services Guide is a new publication by the Bendigo Advertiser, designed to showcase the wonderful support and goodwill for charitable services in our local community.

Quiet achievers are more often than not overlooked when it comes time to say thanks and well done.

Every day volunteers are out in our community diligently helping others, and they make up a large proportion of this group; they help whenever they are asked, see a job that needs to be done and step up.

But there are many, many business people who also support their chosen charities, both monetarily and with their time.

The Bendigo Charities and Services Guide gives them a chance to showcase their business and the charity they support, and it is a great way to recognise all they do for their community and to say an official thanks for their great work.

Through the guide you can also read about some of the charities and services, what they do and what value they can add to our daily lives. You too, may want to put your hand up and support one, or a few, of them this year.

Their good work and deeds certainly deserve it.
