The round 13 matches against the Redbacks are the 300th club games for Greg Lyon and Brent Yates.
The pair join only Kristian Rogers in the 300-game club for the Jets, who joined he BDCA in the 1984-85 season.
Lyon’s milestone match is also doubling as his last game in the first XI for Strathfieldsaye, having played his first in 1988-89.
Lyon – a former Jets’ coach – is the club’s first XI record-holder with 255 games.
As well as his contribution on the field for Strathfieldsaye, Yates, who is playing in the third XI, has had a significant involvement off it for the Jets, which includes a five-year stint as president, while he’s currently the club’s junior co-ordinator.
Both Lyon and Yates are life members of the Jets.
