Plain and light weight lambs were similar to a week ago due to processor competition.
The highlight of the sale was a big price lift for heavy mutton driven by exporters who paid to $170/head for crossbred ewes.
Extra heavy lambs sold to a top of $222 for a pen out of the Mallee that were estimated at 37kg cwt.
It was one of 10 pens of lambs displaying a lot of weight that sold for over $200/head.

The main runs of heavy trade weight lambs sold from $141 to $164/head in a fluctuating market.
There were still premiums of over 620c paid for the best presenting domestic lambs, but price averages across the main categories eased to between 585c to 610c/kg cwt. Secondary lambs, and odd pens of a few head, were discounted.
Most light weight lambs to processing orders sold from $90 to $130 in a solid result, with smaller lambs to the paddock from $95 to $112/head.
