Patrick Eddy got the ball rolling for the Victorian team on day three at the Darebin Sports Centre International Velodrome by winning gold in the men’s under-17 50-lap point score.
It was Eddy’s second gold for the championships following his win in the men’s team pursuit on Wednesday together with fellow Bendigo cyclist Blake Agnoletto, Henry Dietze (Brunswick) and Max Leiner (Carnegie).
In winning, the Victorian quartet established a new national record.
