The Wiggle Bendigo Belter will offer cyclists of all abilities the chance to take part in one of three group rides.
City of Greater Bendigo major events manager Terry Karamaloudis said the series coming to Bendigo would be good for economic development.
"Bendigo has a gained a solid reputation for delivering major events across a broad spectrum and our sports event portfolio will be bolstered by this event," he said.
"I encourage all cycling enthusiasts to participate in The Wiggle Bendigo Belter as it offers something for everyone.”
Wiggle, a UK-based company, has hosted some of its country's biggest and most popular cycling events. Wiggle head of international marketing Maddy Riordan said they were excited to bring an event to Australia.
"We think that it is super to be able to get people out on their bikes in the most stunning locations. Bendigo has some of the most jaw-dropping scenery - it is the perfect place to offer keen cyclists the indulgence of a completely organised, hassle free weekend ride,” she said.
Three routes will be offered - a 90km fun route, a 130km standard route and a 160km epic route. They will be pre-marked with mechanical support, feed stations and onsite facilities offered to riders on the day.
