The male driver of a black Mazda sedan, aged about 30, attempted to make a right-hand turn onto McIvor Road from Crook Street.
He failed to see a silver Toyota travelling west on McIvor Road and ran into the side of the vehicle, pushing it into a light pole on the median strip.
The female driver of the Toyota was taken to Bendigo Health with chest pain.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
EARLIER: Emergency services are at the scene of a two-car crash at the intersection of McIvor Road and Crook Street.
The cars have been pushed up onto the median strip and one has crashed into a light pole.
Paramedics are seeing to a woman at the scene.
Police and CFA are also in attendance.
Traffic on McIvor Road has been restricted to one lane either side of the road.
The right-hand turning lane into Crook Street is also closed.
