A year-long calendar of arts events in central Victoria started with music and food in Rosalind Park last night.
The Love Letters to the Heart of Victoria occasion was the official beginning to the Regional Centre for culture programme.
The state government initiative has funded more than 30 arts projects across four central Victorian municipalities: Greater Bendigo, Mount Alexander, Centre Goldfields and Hepburn.
Deflated while the Commonwealth Games baton toured Bendigo, Indigenous sculpture Heart was again on show, this time teamed with love letters from the region’s residents.
Local bands also delighted attendees at the Valentine’s Day event.
The Regional Centre for Culture is a centrepiece of the state government’s Creative State arts strategy.
