Victorious in the 3km run on December 12, Van Ruiswyk triumphed at the distance for the second time this season at the Latrobe University Bendigo athletics complex.
A delay in the upgrade of the LUBAC track meant a field of 12 raced at Retreat Road.
Racing on invitational basis, Van Ruiswyk achieved a time of 10:16.09 as University’s Russell Jenkins was runner-up from clubmate Andrew Creer.
Some of Van Ruiswyk’s results in this summer’s Tuesday Night Series include second in the 5000m on January 30 and 3000m on January 2, and third in the 3000m raced on November 28.
