The incident occurred outside the Bendigo hospital just after 2pm when a female driver turning onto to Arnold Street failed to give way to oncoming traffic.
The impact caused the car’s airbags to deploy. The driver, a Bendigo Health employee, was examined but did not require medical assistance.
Leading Senior Constable Niall King said the offending driver would be issued with an infringement notice for failing to give way.
Police directed traffic from Arnold Street for a short time.
The street has since re-opened.
